Over my time of shooting weddings I have seen some incredible ones.
Last week after shooting a very relaxed wedding I realised that maybe I need to share some info that might help out any future brides when it comes to your wedding day
1.
This might be the most obvious one but lets talk about Stress
Planning a wedding is seriously stressful; keeping track of all the details, the guests and everyone wanting to give their opinion. So tip number 1.
Take a break form the planning now and then; go for a yoga class, have a glass of wine and step away from that wedding folder just to get some sanity back in your life.

Bridesmaids, grooms men, family and friends. DRAMA, Drama, Drama!
Now I know I might not be a very liked person saying this but I have seen this countless times become an issue at and sometimes before weddings.
Before you pick your bridesmaids before you decide who will get dressed with you.
Think it over as I have so often seen how bickering breaks out in the bridal room how families start feuding about the seating chart.
Leaving you the beautiful bride sometimes in tears. So here it is tip 2 if you suspect that someone will cause a bit of drama then keep them far away from yourself.
This is your day and a very big one where you agree to marry the person you love. Its not about anything ells and don’t let drama steal that away.

Vendors… SO I first need to say I have seen some amazing vendors out there doing amazing work, going beyond their scope and delivering results that are just down right dreamy!
BUT in all the time of shooting weddings we come across instances where vendors don’t come through for the bride and groom. T
they arrive late, or the don’t 100% deliver on what they promise. So tip 3 is this, do you research on your vendors make sure they will come through for you. Make sure they know what you want. Don’t base these choices on money or friendliness.

Your marriage. Yes I am talking to you future Mrs. and Mr. Weddings are pretty and stunning and will make anyone fall in love again.
But word of wisdom is that you need to remember once you’ve said I do, eaten the cake and danced the night away your other half will stay forever. So don’t forget to work on your relationship during the planning process.
Don’t forget to spend time on the wedding day actually in the moment with your loved one as this is not the end of the fairytale but only the start.

Shoes, dresses and all things your wear. This is a big one for the wedding day. There is nothing more horrible that being uncomfortable specially if you have between 80 – 100 people admiring or looking at you.
Even from our photography perspective if you feel uncomfortable you will most definitely look uncomfortable in your photos.
So tip number 5 make sure that your wedding dress sit comfortably, your shoes have been worn a bit, the tie is not too tight and that there is absolutely nothing stopping you form having loads of fun!
All in all if you take deep breaths and try not get overwhelmed. You keep your focus on the end goal of being married then all will be fine.
Weddings are magical and having the right partner makes it even better!. Good luck with your planning!
